I think it’s fun to stray a bit from the registry when attending a baby shower. Maybe this is because some of the best baby shower gifts (and wedding gifts) I received weren’t by my own choosing, but personal favorites of family and friends. It may be a must-have item that you feel helped you survive or even a fun indulgence you just have to share with them.

Today I’m sharing my ten favorite baby gifts that may stray from the registry but are sure to be favorites (trust me on this)!

Ten Unique Baby Shower Gifts

1 |  Aden + Anais Burpy Bibs – Chances are the mama-to-be will receive one (or five) sets of Aden + Anais muslin swaddles, but don’t forget about all their other fabulous products.  I also love their washcloths and bibs and seriously, their products are made to last! Mae’s A+A washcloths that I received as a baby shower gift are still in great condition and always being used. (The new circus print show above can be found here.)

2 |  Sahnda Marie Kids Baby Shoes – If you’re new to Sahnda Marie Kids products, get ready to swoon. These darling handmade baby shoes come in a variety of darling prints and are lined with organic bamboo cotton velour with an organic cotton sherpa footbed. They’re sure to be the hit of the baby shower. Or you could even get the mama-to-be a pair of her very own because Sahnda just released a similar lounge shoe for women (happy dance!).

3 |  Lucy Darling Shop Closet Dividers – Everything in this shop is perfection, so take your pick. My current fave for a gift are the closet dividers, but there’s also monthly baby stickers sets, and darling nursery prints too.

4 |  Mama & Little Silicone Teething Jewelry – I hadn’t a clue about teething jewelry when Mae was a baby and wish I would’ve learned about them sooner. Mama & Little products are 100% food-grade silicone beads that are non-toxic and feature a breakaway safety clasp. I also think they’re the most unique and on-trend options I’ve seen.

5 |  Petite Lemon Birth Announcement Onesie – This is one for after the babe has arrived, but also one of my favorite gift ideas. This birth announcement onesie can be personalized with all the baby’s stats, making it a gift that the parents are likely to hold onto forever.

6 |  Little Sapling Toys Personalized Teether – Wooden baby teethers are an ideal first toy for babies and the ones by Little Sapling are one of my favorites. They’re made from Hard Rock Maple, a non-splintering wood, and come in lots & lots of shapes so you’ll be able to find one that perfectly fits the recipient.

7 |  Hanna Andersson Sleepers – You may as well introduce the mama-to-be with Hanna Andersson sleepers now and let the obsession begin. Hanna Andersson sleepers are made from thick organic cotton, super cozy, and have a full-body zip making middle-of-the-night diaper changes a little more tolerable. There’s just something about these sleepers that makes everyone fall in love with them.

8 |  Little Hip Squeaks Everything Blanket – Little Hip Squeaks is a Brooklyn-based company that makes high-quality, modern, cotton products for babies and kids. From headbands to beanies to clothing basics to blankets, these are sure to be well used and well loved and one of the hippest gifts received.

9 |  Nature Baby Booties – Nature Baby is an New Zealand company, but they have developed an exclusive line exclusive for Crewcuts. All of their baby basics are fabulous products, but my personal favorite are the baby booties. Unlike the majority of baby socks, they actually stay on because they can be tied. And your heart will melt when you see the tininess in person.

10 |  Mom’s One Line a Day Journal – Those first few months with a baby can be tough and are sure to fly by. So this daily journal is the perfect way to not let the days slip by without documenting that first smile or solo trip out of the house. Moms will love to look back on those little things years from now.
