I think we decided that Mae and baby girl #2 will be sharing a bedroom. At first we were thinking separate rooms, but as long as the little one is a decent sleeper I think it’s going to be pretty fun to have them together for a few years! Plus if they share a bedroom, I’ll be able to keep my office. And, you know, a little bit of my sanity.
I’m a little sad that I can’t start from scratch with decorating a second nursery, but to make up for it I’ll be giving Mae’s bedroom a giant refresh before moving them in together. New paint, new decor, and a new toddler bed for Mae! (We decided on a toddler bed versus a twin bed because the bedrooms in our house are teeny tiny (for reals) and we need every inch of space we can get. Plus the girl is petite herself, and I just need it to last us two years until we move.)
For now I’m on the hunt for a few new things for baby girl’s space, including a mobile! I love love love mobiles and know that settling on one will be one of my more challenging life decisions. (No joke, these are the things that keep me up at night.) I prefer simple ones that will give babies something to look at, but nothing that will be too distracting to them.
Here are a few of my favorites I’ve come across so far. Enjoy!

Share share share!!! Yes. My girls (5 & 2) have been sharing since baby 2 was 4 months old. It’s the best- I love it & they love it – we are in ny so we don’t hv a choice. But. I’d still do it out of the city 🙂 I love hearing them talk & play in the morning- sweetest sounds. And they are both great sleepers since they are used to each other’s noises. Enjoy 🙂
Oh yay, thank you for your comment! Yes, I just had a friend tell me that listening to her boys talk in the morning is one of her favorite things and that made me so excited to have them share a room! Mae already sleeps really well, so I’m hoping the next babe is the same way! 🙂
