On Tuesday we brought you some of our favorite fall fashion for kids and today it’s all about the shoes! The kids’ shoe department at Nordstrom is simply the best, and it’s not just because of the balloons (although my kids think that makes them the best). They really are great with helping kids get shoes that fit well and are supportive. Plus they have a big selection with lots of my favorite brands.
I have a few pairs of go-to shoes that I buy repeatedly for my kids. For first shoes, I always recommend Freshly Picked Moccasins because the soft soles are perfect for early walkers and they go with everything! Once they’re a little older, I love classic Chuck Taylor Sneakers – this velcro pair in particular because they’re easy to get on and off, and even though white sneakers seem like a bad idea for kids the material of these shoes easily wipes clean. And of course every year I get a pair of Hunter Boots to get us through the Seattle winter. They’re great because kids can put them on all by themselves and they wear really well.
Links to the kids’ shoes are below, plus some more of my favorites down below. I really wish I had a video of my Winnie girl putting on her glitter pompom sneakers for the first time. She did the cutest happy dance and I kept thinking how she was all of us putting on a fabulous pair of shoes for the first time. We feel you, girl.

Oh, and I have to share this super cute video that Melissa made of our day on the shoot. If you want to see some behind-the-scenes action…
