Christmas is just one week away and New Year’s Eve is just two weeks away, which means we’ve been busy doing all of the holiday things! This weekend we had a holiday party, I took Mae to The Nutcracker for her first time (that was amazing!), and we had our annual trip to visit Santa.

The Santa outing ended up being a bit of a disaster. Winnie would not even consider going anywhere near him for a photo. She wasn’t going to stand near Mae on the side away from him, could not be tricked to ride on the wooden rocking horse, and would not be bribed with all the candy canes in the world. She ended up deciding she’d tolerate one picture if I held her, so that’s what we did. All was fine until we started to leave and Winnie remembered how mad she was about the whole thing and threw her body on the ground and had a bit of meltdown right in front of Santa (and staff and guests). I guess it’s all part of the holiday magic, right?

I’ve teamed up with Nordstrom to share my kids’ holiday outfits this year! Nordstrom is one of my favorite places to shop for my kids’ clothing because they carry so many of the brands I love so I can shop them all in one spot with free shipping! I also adore Tucker + Tate clothing which is only available at Nordstrom. My goal for their holiday outfits was to pick something that felt festive but could last beyond the holiday season. Plus my girls are all about comfort, so that’s always a priority.

Right now the kids’ department has a lot of monochrome, faux fur, and sparkle – perfect for the holidays. For Mae, I picked out this striped dress, which could not be more her. It feels like a sweatshirt so it’s comfortable, but it also sparkles so it’s fancy! (FYI, I did size down since Mae prefers her dresses to fit more like tunics.) We paired it with these sweater tights and her favorite UGG boots. Winnie is wearing this swan dress, which is hands-down one of my very favorite items she’s ever owned! It’s thick, has pockets, and is cute beyond words. I paired it with these cable knit leggings and these mary jane flats. We topped off their outfits with this faux fur hoodie that is the softest ever and can be dressed up or down. Ander is wearing this bomber jacket because I literally buy every single thing that’s buffalo plaid. I paired it with these twill pants and these black moccasins.
